Whether it's the
all night study sessions, movie night extravaganzas,
unplanned cookie bakings, or just having someone down
the hall you know you can count on, living on-campus is
the only way to get the true "college experience."
With three dormitories on campus, Mines ResLife provides
ample opportunities to find a room that is just right
for you. Even better, the Resident Assistants of
the dorms organize activities throughout the year
ranging from Super Bowl parties to bowling nights to
holiday decorating competitions. The dorms also
sponsor intramural teams, community service projects,
and have also played an important role in the campus
environmental sustainability program. Remember,
the ResLife at Mines is here to put you FIRST.

Connolly
Built in the 1940’s and housing approximately 80
students, Connolly Hall is the oldest dorm on campus at the
School of Mines. Connolly has a very quiet community usually
consisting of upperclassmen and graduate students. Connolly is
the only residence hall that has guaranteed single rooms for
upperclassmen students who sign up early enough. Connolly has
common area bathrooms and lounges that split the floors into
wings. Connolly is known for hosting Classic Gaming Night and
the JP Connolly Games.
Palmerton
Built in the late 1960’s and housing
approximately 180 students, Palmerton Hall is the tallest
building on campus with 5 floors. Palmerton’s second floor is
exclusively for female residents who wish to live in an all
female community. Residents of this floor have the choice for
privacy by having the doors locked to 2nd floor during the
school year. Floors 1, 3, 4 &5 are all male floors with an all
male community. All of the floors have common area bathrooms and
common lobbies in the middle of the floor. Palmerton is known
for their building wide events that create another option during
the weekend.
Peterson
Completed in 2004 and housing over 300 students,
Peterson Hall is the newest building on campus at the School of
Mines. Connected to the Surbeck Student Union, students who live
in Peterson appreciate the fact that they do not have to go
outside in harsh weather to go to the dining hall or Miner’s
Shack. Peterson has a variety of different room styles ranging
from a standard double to a deluxe quad. Each room has a sink
and there are community bathrooms for the residents living in
doubles. Also housing the FIRST program, Peterson Hall’s second
floor is specifically for freshman interested in FIRST
residential. |
